This is the first time I have ever used social media and it is a lot easier than I thought it would be. I actually appreciate that this is an assignment for my first graduate school course because, here in Utah, we are embarking on a project to work with the young professional early childhood educators and caregivers, and I know that this is one of their chosen methods of communication.
This week I am facilitating a meeting at the Utah State Office of Education Early Childhood Conference. This facilitation will bring to a close three years of work on an initiative called Expanding Opportunities for Inclusion. I have been lucky enough to be the chairperson of this project for our state. Utah has done some great things to increase discussions and collaborations among early childhood stakeholder around inclusion, and the time has come for the work to "live" at the State Early Childhood Council. I hope that the momentum that we have around this issue continues to thrive in it's new home. I have really enjoyed working with our Technical Assistant Support Person, Debbie, and have learned a lot from other stakeholders. Time to put my energy toward new adventures!
